Washcloths

Image
A belated Mother's Day gift. One knit in a basketweave pattern with a garter stitch border, the other knit in stocking stitch with a moss stitch border. I cast on 34 sts for each and only used one 50g ball of cotton to finish.

Quick Wedding Card

Image
We were at a wedding for one of my friends at the weekend so I had to make a little card real quickly on Friday night.

This was super quick and simple to make.

I double stamped a bride and groom image on a rectangle of cream card - light blue at the back, then black over it to give it a shadow effect. Stuck the cream card onto a slightly bigger rectangle of light blue card and then stuck that onto a larger rectangle of purple/blue card. I left a large chunk of the darker card free on one side and stuck a flower to the bottom.

Super simple, super quick but I think it looks really cute.

And the Winner is .....

New pattern, and a little giveaway!

My first eBooklet is finally typed up. Meet Old Pop, Peter, Isabelle and Poppy, the residents of the Enchanted Wood.

These little guys are only 14cm/ 5.5inches tall and so are a pretty quick knit. The eBooklet contains 7 pages which detail how to create the basic body and all the accessories that make each one individual.

The pattern is knit in dk yarn with 2.75mm straight needles. Seaming is involved!

So, onto the Giveaway:

Leave a comment (with some sort of contact details). A winner will be chosen at random on Monday 29th March 2010. The winner will receive a copy of the eBooklet by email.

Good Luck

P.s. the pattern is also available for sale on Etsy and Ravelry buy now for $8

Pile-uppable Pups!

My recipient in the recent toy swap has got her parcel so I can post a picture of the toy I made -

Pile-uppable Pups!

A pattern from the Mochimochiland shop. I love Anna's patterns and my partner said she liked toys that made her smile/laugh so I knew something by Anna would be perfect. Her patterns are always infused with a little humour.

Second Birthday Party!

Image
Okay so Smem won't be 2 until next Sunday, but we will be down in Wexford at a wedding so we had her birthday party yesterday. So no crafting to write about as I was cleaning and baking like a crazy lady for the second half of the week.

Forgot to take any pictures. Just took one of the biscuit cake I made. I also make chocolate cupcakes, carrot & pineapple muffins, and raspberry & coconut muffins. I also made chicken and veg for the kids. I also made loads of sandwiches to go with the vegetable soup that DH made.

It was a great day. Everyone was in good form and all the kids played peacefully together.

Smem got another two baby dolls so we have enough babies now to start a creche!

What looks like it may be a bear ...

Becomes a bunny with the addition of two long ears.

This guy got dressed up as an Easter bunny after this but I didn't get a chance to take a photo of him before he hopped off to a little girl as an Easter present!

An Easter Freebie

Okay, I know I've gone off the boil recently in terms of getting new patterns out. I just seem to be constantly busy. Doing what, I do not know!

So here is a little freebie for everyone who follows my blog - Mini Easter Bunnies

They're only about 3 inches high and don't take long to knit at all.

Toy Swap

Image
So the Crafty Market went pretty well. I made enough to cover the stand, and a bit more. However, all the little things that I nearly killed myself making last week didn't sell. Most of the things that sold were the bigger toys. So that was interesting to discover. And I'll use the small things as party favours for Smem's birthday at the end of the month!
I did take a picture of the stall on my phone, but its a new phone and I can't get the photos onto the computer. Bummed!

Good news today though. A parcel arrived for me this morning from my swap partner in the Plush, Toy, Stuffie, Fun group on Ravelry. A lovely box stuffed full with goodies - lovely soaps, lip balm, tea, chocolate bars, ribbon, goggly eyes, cotton yarn and an adorable doll.

Smem has claimed the doll as her own. She's lovely and soft and squishy and floopy. The perfect rag doll.

Bad blogger

Bad blogging for the last two weeks. I've been knitting and sewing like crazy to get enough produce for my stall at the Crafty Market.

Will post photos once I get a chance to take some!
