Have to take a break from knitting a custom white teddy bear as I stuck my darning needle into my finger and am bleeding - not good when knitting with white!! So on to the winner of the SewMamaSew Giveaway. I consulted the random number generator, and the winner is - Jennie.   She said 'How cute. Looks like something my Nanna would make - she's good at knitting too. Thanks for the giveaway!'  An email will be on the way to you tonight Jennie to get your address. Thank you so very much to everyone who entered my little giveaway.  Its always nice to get such lovely feedback - I really appreciate it. And for those of you who have just discovered my blog, check out the free patterns to the right.  Any questions just pop me an email.

September Pattern Giveaway!

Image
Apologies for the lack of blogging this week. I've been trying to get a pattern out for this month and am pretty busy at the moment. This pattern is different from my normal style as the body is knit as a front and back, with the arms knitted in, and then sewn together. It means the only things to be sewn on and the ears and trunk so it makes it a more baby-friendly toy. Meet Bo and Lori: Leave a comment with some sort of contact details to be in with a chance to win. One winner will be chosen at random on Monday and they will receive a pdf knitting pattern for Bo and Lori. Good Luck!

Its getting a bit close to the wedding so I get a bit distracted but I should be able to find time for some knitting!

Lacy Wrap

Image
The last few weeks I've been knitting a lacy wrap. I got some laceweight yarn as part of a swap earlier this year. I'd never knit with laceweight yarn before so it was interesting. This wrap is called 'Lacy/River Wrap'. I found it on Ravelry, but its also on the Prima website. It was easy to knit but it took a bit of getting used to. I was using 7mm needles with the thin yarn which I'm definitely not used to! It was successful though so it may have started a new trend in my knitting! In other news, I have not had any contact from the winner of the blog giveaway so I've picked a new winner at random - Melanie. She'll get a message through Ravelry today, as she left her Rav name.

200th Post Giveaway

Image
Today is post no.200. And a time to think about how things have changed since I started. I've definitely become a lot more comfortable with writing my thoughts - although they are more random in my head. Maybe I should learn to type faster! I'd like to thank everyone who has been reading my blog and leaving lots of comments. Its always nice to hear that people appreciate your work. So, on to the giveaway. This month's new pattern is for the 'Blossom Buds'. These cute little guys are only about 9cm tall and are super quick to make. The embroidery is the only thing that takes a while to do to finish them nicely. Please a comment by Monday morning (Irish time!) and I'll chose a winner at random to win the newest pattern, and pick one other pattern from my shop to have also. Lucky person! Just remember to make sure I can contact you if you win. Good Luck
